The Prologue is the first scene from Downfall, which is rarely used in parodies.
It opens with the Constantin Film logo playing. The name of the film appears. Afterwards, a clip of old Traudl Junge is shown, where she speaks about how she feels bad about her younger self for failing to realize who Hitler really was, for not being aware of what she got herself into, and for being too enthusiastic about becoming Hitler's secretary. However her curiosity was more powerful, and now she can never forgive herself.
The scene, just like the epilogue, is from the 2002 Austrian documentary Im toten Winkel - Hitlers Sekretärin (Blind Spot: Hitler's Secretary in English).
In Downfall Parodies
The scene was used rarely in parodies; it is mostly used in parodies where Traudl, as an old woman, usually reveals something terrible about Hitler.
- Traudl was still alive during filming of Downfall, but she died of old age before the film premiered.
