This Manual of Style will discuss on how to write and present content in a standardized way. In case where a specific case is not covered in this article, refer to Wikipedia's Manual of Style.

Title

1. Do not put quotation marks in a title. This applies particularly to quotes.
2. Titles that contain a single phrase (such as Original Bunker Scene) should be in Title Case.
3. Longer titles that contain more than one phrase and read like a sentence should be in normal case form. This mostly applies to the Downfall scenes, Quotes, and list pages.
4. The above rules apply to category names as well.

File names

Before uploading images, be sure to name it with something relevant to the picture.

• A good practice is to name files in the following format:
  • Scene snapshots:

    [Scene name] - Character name [gesture/quote/description]

  • Parody Series snapshots:

    [Series name] [episode/part] description

  • Parody snapshots:

    [Name of parody] description

  • Real life photos (in any order):

    Name year description

• Words in the file name must be separated with spaces, not dashes.
• Also, name all the people present in the picture, if applicable. This can be done in the file description.

Content

1. Try to get the spelling of German names right (e.g. Führer, Günsche and Göring) by using umlauts.
   • Use the Character Map program, or
   • When editing an article, go the Source mode and press the more+ button on the toolbar, or
   • Use the alternate English renditions (e.g. Guensche and Goering) with a possible exception for Fuhrer.
2. Do not add videos or screenshots of parodies in Downfall Scene pages.
3. Adding videos of parodies using the usual scenes (Original Bunker Scene, Reviews Scene, Hitler Is Informed Scene, etc.) is only appropriated if they're ground-breaking or greatly popular.
4. No wall of text. Yes, that means you, Ernestjohn18.
5. Also, grammar.

Composition

This is the recommended composition for a page, according to its type:

Character pages

1. Character Infobox (with obvious exception on Blondi :P )
2. Some quotes (optional) - do not overdo it or add too many of it
3. Background section (optional, would be nice to have one)
4. In Downfall section. This should be separate from the background, and details from Downfall should be given and elaborated
   • Description on portrayal, such as those in Adolf Hitler's page, would be lovely
5. In The Parodies/In Parody Universe section
6. Comparison with other Antic Masters (Antic Masters only)
7. List of appearances (Downfall characters only)
8. Other portrayals (mostly a link to the character page in IMDB)
9. Trivia (optional)
10. Gallery
    1. Pictures from Downfall (priority should be given to this)
    2. Pictures from other films, spoofs, resemblances, fanarts
    3. Real-life photos

Scene pages

1. A picture of the scene, choose the one most memorable
2. "In Downfall" section
3. "In the parodies" section
4. Trivia (optional)
5. Gallery of screenshots in chronological order

Unterganger pages

1. Unterganger infobox
2. Some history or background, if any
3. Influences or styles, if available
4. List of notable parodies
5. List of awarded parodies

Parody Themes pages

1. Some description on who started it, background, etc.
2. List of characters
3. Comparison of characters to their Downfall counterparts

Common Series pages

1. Series infobox ( {{Infobox series}} )
2. Who made/started it
3. General plot description
4. List of notable untergangers contributing to the series

Individual Series / Parody pages

1. Parody infobox ( {{Infobox parody}} )
2. Who made it, upload date, number of parts (if series), total views
3. Plot description (more detailed than Common Series pages)
4. Setting (places, era, etc) (if applicable)
5. Characters - what do they do
6. Trivia (optional)
7. Snapshots of parody(-ies)

Layout

1. Images in an article must not exceed 300px in width and is aligned either all to the right or alternately (right, left, right, left,...).
2. Wherever possible, sort the galleries in the following order:
   1. Images from Downfall.
   2. Images from other films, non-Downfall spoofs or resemblances.
   3. Real-life pictures.
3. Consider using a table instead of indents when trying to elaborate a list.

Categorization

1. No category-whoring on articles i.e. adding too many categories that doesn't exist yet in one go. Categories are not the same as tags (where you put as many phrases as possible) and should not be treated like one.
2. Any new categories must be proposed and agreed on by other contributors before being applied to pages. You may not create categories to gather pages relating to a certain event from the Events category.

Referencing

1. Every fluff in this wiki must be accompanied by a reference to the parody. This isn't about narcissism, this is about canonity.
2. References can be made, depending on the context of the sentence of whisch it is in, by either external links or by numbered references. External links are recommended when the sentence is in an off-universe, perspective, and numbered reference for vice versa.

Templates and Infoboxes

1. The use of specific infoboxes is encouraged (i.e. use the character infobox for character pages and unterganger infobox for unterganger pages). Please refer to the template page of the respective infoboxes on how to use them.
2. Please stub short pages, and remove them once the page has more content

Essential templates

1. {{ref}}, {{cite}} - for citations and numbered referencing
2. {{infobox}}, {{infobox unterganger}}, {{infobox character}} - to sum up important information on the page. Further elaboration on these information in the page, especially information such as nicknames, is recommended
3. {{clr}}, {{clrr}}, {{clrl}}, {{tocright}} - used in general formatting
4. {{Spoiler start}}, {{Spoiler end}} - used to mark and hide spoilers in articles
5. {{Stub}}, {{Delete}}, {{Deserted}} - used to mark pages
6. {{Downfall Characters}}, {{Non-Downfall Characters}}, {{Downfall Scene}}, {{Tutorial}} - Navboxes
