Slender Man Invades the Bunker! |
The Slender Man is a mysterious being with variously described qualities. The legend originated on the Something Awful Forum's "Create Paranormal Images" contest. While not much is agreed upon about the Slender Man, it is generally accepted that it is a malevolent entity. The legend became incredibly popular with the release of the indie game, Slender.
Description[]
The Slender Man appears as a tall, slender human, hence the name. It wears a black or grey formal suit, a white shirt, and a black or red tie. The face lacks any distinct features or hair. The Slender Man is also reported to be able to stretch its limbs to incredible lengths, similar to Mr. Fantastic's ability. Some also say that it can sprout tentacles from its back at will to help ensnare its victims. The Slender Man also can teleport and is never seen to walk, hinting towards its existence as a spirit.
The Slender Man generally inhabits forests or other uninhabited areas, only straying into densely populated suburbs on occasion, usually to stalk its victims. It may mentally torture its victims for years before actually striking. While it is unclear what exactly the Slender Man does with its victims, some claim that it consumes them.
In the Parodies[]
The Slender Man appeared in the bunker when Himmler mailed the eight pages from Slender. It attacked several people throughout the bunker, even Hitler himself, abducting them to an unclear fate.
The Slender Man also became the primary antagonist of Benad361 and HitchcockJohn's parody The Menace of the Fegel-Forest, during which the various parody crews teamed up to track it down only to be seperated by an encounter with an antic beast. It is revealed to be Goebbels's creepier evil twin. In the second part of the series, various parties tried to track down and terminate him with an arsenal of antic-weaponry; all of them subdued (including Fegelein and Himmler) by Slender. In the end, only Juan Miranda's shotgun proved to be effective.
He later appears in part 8 of Der Untergang: The Parody, lurking behind his harem of elderly women and attacking Schenck. Schenck survived Slendy's capture by unknown means, as he later appears in part 13 unharmed, proving escaping him is possible (or it might just be due to the The Greater War's heavily buggy game mechanism).
The Slender Man has also appeared in Hitler Plays videos featuring the various games made about him. Such games include the original Slender: The Eight Pages, and the Slenderman's Shadow maps.
